          The Time Is Now

*     We needed new leadership yesterday—before the cracks in our community grew too wide to repair. As we sleep in the comfort of our beds, those in power are quietly expanding their executive cabinet, working to divide us and weaken the unity that makes Minneapolis strong. This deliberate division strips us of our voice, leaving us powerless in a city we’ve built together. If we are not careful, we risk becoming the next Detroit, Michigan—a city that once thrived but now struggles under the weight of mismanagement and lost hope. We must unite and act before it’s too late. Together, we can protect Minneapolis from falling into that same fate and ensure our city remains a place where every voice matters.

                             UNITED WE STAND

 *   Minneapolis voters need to come together to protect our voices, our votes, and our city. With so many challenges facing us, it’s more important than ever that we unite. Our strength lies in our ability to stand together, no matter our differences, to make sure our community stays strong. If we let ourselves become divided, we risk losing control over our future and the power to shape our city. We must act now to ensure that our votes matter and our voices are heard. United we stand, divided we fall.

My Goals For Minneapolis

My Goals:
I'm on a mission to revitalize the City of Minneapolis, and I truly believe the time for healing our community is NOW! Sure, there will be challenges along the way, but together, we can rebuild our city even stronger than before! I'm eager to kick off open communication with homeowners, renters, and business owners because transparency is key! Let’s establish quarterly community meetings where we can connect with our council leaders, and I’ll always have open-door policy to listen to each other’s voices.

Unhoused Neighbors:
My heart is set on ensuring that every Minneapolis resident feels safe secure in their homes and neighborhoods. As a woman of color who has faced homelessness, I am dedicated to supporting our unhoused neighbors. It's essential to remember that not everyone without a home struggles with addiction; many have unique stories, including foster youth, veterans, and women fleeing violence. With over 10,500 individuals experiencing homelessness in Minnesota on a single night, my goal is to help those who wish to find a safe, drug-free place they can call home.

Support small businesses:
Building financial growth that benefits everyone—regardless of zip code or background. I believe in a future where every neighborhood has the opportunity to thrive and prosper.

Building a Bridge Between the Community and the Police Department:
Let’s unite to build a bridge of trust and collaboration between our community and the Minneapolis Police Department! By prioritizing transparency and ongoing dialogue, we can create a safer, more inclusive environment where everyone feels respected and protected. Together, we can strive for a future where justice and public safety are a shared commitment.

Affordable Housing:
I want to make it clear: creating affordable housing won't happen overnight! While I'm no magician, I committed to working hard and collaborating with our community to fix what's broken. With my finance background, I'll ensure we stay within budget, hold weekly meetings with key stakeholders, and make necessary adjustments. I didn't run for mayor to be popular; I ran because I love this city and believe that together, we can create a sustainable future for all!

Ensuring All Missing Loved Ones Make it homes:
The Ebony/Elderly Alert system plays a crucial role in enhancing the safety and well-being of vulnerable members of the Minneapolis community, especially elderly individuals and people of color who may be at higher risk of harm. By swiftly notifying the public and law enforcement about missing persons, this alert system fosters a collaborative approach to locating and returning loved ones. For families, knowing that their loved ones can be quickly found and brought home safely offers a profound sense of security and peace of mind. The system not only strengthens community trust but also serves as a vital tool in ensuring that no one is left behind, emphasizing the collective responsibility to protect our most vulnerable citizens.

Ballot Question Pros / Cons :
As a candidate for mayor, I believe that ballot questions are often confusing and not explained well enough, leaving voters unprepared on Election Day. It's not fair for voters to be asked to vote Yes or No without fully understanding what that means. To make real, informed decisions about our community’s future, people need clear, simple explanations of what each measure involves and what the impact will be. When voters are given the right information, they can make choices based on facts, not guesswork. Continuing to leave ballot questions unclear risks frustration and confusion, undermining trust in our democracy. As mayor, I’ll work to ensure that every ballot question is explained clearly, so every voter can cast their vote with confidence. This is how we build a stronger, fairer city for everyone.
